Renovation of Nature Center

The project consisted of converting an existing warehouse building originally used for a game bird hatchery into a visitors center for the ecological education center. The remodel turned former storage and work room areas into exhibit, office, kitchen and restroom facilities for the center. The existing flat roof structure was removed and a new steel framed open trussed metal roof structure was installed in the main exhibit area. A large partially covered deck was added to enjoy views of the adjacent pond and wetlands areas. Facility sits on 82-acres.
