Kissam Intermediate School, Chapel Hill I.S.D.
The exterior was designed to allow community access to the Media Center, Cafetorium, and Activity Building without
opening the three classroom wings.
The media center has traditional book stacks, a reading room, and library classroom. The design also includes
a computerized hub, which contains a file server that is connected to classrooms, allowing exchange of information
with the library as well as all grade levels.
The cafeteria was designed to feed an entire grade level at one sitting, and includes a telescoping stage,
complete with lighting system, and traveling curtain.
