Weisman Center, Marshall
Although not a pure restoration project, rehabilitation of the Weisman Building
returned the building's original character and set the tone for an improved
public attitude and vision for a revitalized downtown Marshall. The Weisman
Center in Marshall received an award on February 25 for historic rehabilitation
from Preservation Texas, one of only 15 buildings in the state. The City of
Marshall received a $ 1.4 million in grant money to complete the four-year
project that funded 95% of the project. |
